Clarifications on Registration Process (2009/2/25)

This is the fourth circular from the Local Organizing Committee for TILC09. As announced on Dec. 11, 2008, this conference is scheduled to take place in Tsukuba, Japan from Friday April 17th through Tuesday April 21st, 2009 at EPOCHAL Tsukuba in Tsukuba City, Japan.

We would like to transmit to you a couple of announcements and clarifications.

  1. As per the previous circular of Feb. 2, 2009, the early registration period with the reduced registration fee of 40,000 Yen, is going to expire at the end of February 28, 2009, JST.
  2. This early registration fee (40,000 per person, not subject to general sales tax) is to apply when the payment is completed with credit cards prior to the end of the deadline date, February 28, 2009, JST. After that, the fee will be automatically bumped to 45,000 per person (late fee). This happens even if you entered your application before the deadline.
  3. For registration fees prior to the Conference, online credit card payment is required, whether for early or late, via the link available at http://tilc09.kek.jp/registration.php . However, for on-site payment during the time of the Conference (April 17-21), we nominally accept only cash in Japanese yen. To handle exceptional cases, we will set up a booth for credit card payments only on the first day, April 17, 2009 on site.
  4. Some of the colleagues are from the countries whose citizens are required to obtain visas before entering Japan. If you need a visa, please, immediately contact the conference secretariat at office address with information noted at http://tilc09.kek.jp/visa.php

Period for Early Registration Extended till 2009/2/28 (2009/2/2)

This is the third circular from the Local Organizing Committee for TILC09. As announced on Dec. 11, 2008, this conference is scheduled to take place in Tsukuba, Japan from Friday April 17th through Tuesday April 21st, 2009 at EPOCHAL Tsukuba in Tsukuba City, Japan.

We would like to inform you that we are now extending the deadline for early registration from January 31, 2009 as previously noted, to the end of February 28, 2009, JST .

This is in consideration of the time that it might take some of you to determine the travel schedule, while the leaders of ACFA joint Linear Collider Physics and Detector Working Group and the ILC Global Design Effort are finalizing the details of the meeting agenda.

Pertinent information of the meeting is available at this web site http://tilc09.kek.jp/ .

Registration and reservation for hotels should be done online at JTB Corp.'s (our agent) web site, which is accessible from here.

Those of you who need visas to enter Japan should contact the conference secretariat at office
address no later than February 20, 2009 to obtain necessary paperwork. Here is an advisory.

Registration fees are 40,000 Japanese yen (not subject to general sales tax) for early registration (now, until February 28, payable with credit cards) and would be 45,000 Japanese yen for late registration. Hope to see many of you in April in Tsukuba.
